If you've ever heard of the 80/20 rule, it states that most achievements, if not all, are 80% mindset and 20% mechanics (I tend to think it's more 90/10).

This means that when you set out to do or achieve something, 80% of your effort should be in the mindset and attitude towards getting it. The 20% is the 'how to', that's really the easy part.

You just have to model those who have already achieved what ever it is you're looking to do. Almost like following a recipe. The challenge comes when people come up against obstacles or setbacks. They tend to throw in the towel and give up.

Mindset, attitude and persistance is the absolute key to any success, I can't stress this strongly enough. Every so called "failure" is nothing more than a lesson learned. If something doesn't work, your attitude should be, " Okay, that's one way not to do it...next!"
